About the Area

The Connecticut River dominates this landscape, creating a natural border as it stretches north from Springfield through Greenfield and Brattleboro, VT.

East and west of the river, the small New England towns dot the landscape, including Whately, Worthington, Montague, Ashfield, and Belchertown, each having a distinctive character and particular charm.
