South Deerfield Massachusetts
South Deerfield is located in a historically and culturally
rich area. Early American Colonists settled this area
in 1660 experiencing much conflict with the native population
of Pocumtuck, Mohawk, and Iroquois Indians.
Conveniently located off I-91, you will find the peaceful
refuge of 22 acres of woods, gardens and open vistas
on the western foot of Mount Sugarloaf. Other desinations
include Deerfield Academy, Yankee Candle, Historic Deerfield,
and Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory. We are a 10-20
minute drive from the Five Colleges, several fine independent
schools and the many attractions of Amherst, Northampton
and Greenfield including music, theatre and dining.
