Franklin County Cider Days

Cider Days is "an annual community celebration of all things apple in beautiful Franklin County, Massachusetts" with tours, cidermaking and tastings, workshops and much more. Location include orchards and venues county-wide from Ashfield, Deerfield, Turners Falls, Shelburne Falls, and Colrain to New Salem and the towns in between.

Great River Challenge Triathlon

Paddle, run and mountain bike for Kiwanis charities each year on the first weekend in October at the nationally-known Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center in Northfield, Massachusetts. Individuals or teams, long and short courses for a range of ability levels, professional timing, food, and family activities.

Special Day In Northfield

An old-fashioned holiday celebration on the Main Street and back roads of Northfield, Massachusetts. Held on the second Saturday in December for over a decade, the event features children’s activities, horse-drawn hayrides, music in multiple venues, art and craft gifts, live theater a bonfire and visits from Father Christmas, Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The "Big E" Fair

The Big E, formally known as The Eastern States Exposition, is billed as "New England's Great State Fair". It is the largest agricultural event on the eastern seaboard and the sixth-largest fair in the nation. The Big E is inclusive of all six of the New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Each year, the fair opens on the second Friday after Labor Day and runs for seventeen days. Located in West Springfield, MA.

Green River Music Festival

The Green River Festival is Western Massachusett's signature summer event. They host an outrageous celebration of world-class music, great local food, beer and wine, a handmade craft fair, and lots of family games and activities. They top it all off with a spectacular Saturday night balloon glow.
